Webmaster’s note: This page chronicles the first events of the rejuvinated Brainclaw project (when Tara came on board) to the last events of 2003. It starts with the writing of the first song for the Insekt/Angel CD and ends just before the New Year with the production deal between Brainclaw and Carfax. Enjoy a trip down memory lane… The oldest entries start at the bottom of the page and work upward to the December 28, 2003 entry at the top.

Brainclaw is officially contracted to help complete the new CD for Philadelphia’s own industrial rockers, Carfax Abbey. Duties include fleshing out four existing Carfax songs and infusing them with some serious Brainclaw flavor. Work on the nearly finished Brainclaw CD continues as well.

Graphic artist Pamela Methot begins work on the graphics for the new Brainclaw CD, entitled Insekt/Angel.

Unbelievable. Good things are brewing this cold Monday with Brainclaw’s recent domination of the Electrogarden Network Top Forty Electronic Music Chart. Insekt/Angel, When The Dark Rains Come and Incessant Surveillance are in the First, Second and Third spots OVERALL on the entire site. Somebody’s listening! Please feel free to head over there, give the songs a listen, and give a cool review if you feel inspired to do so! It’s a fantastic site for new electronic music talent, give it a good once-over while you’re there.

Thigs are getting ridiculous on the MP3.COM site for Brainclaw. the SECT ep is rocketing straight up… The four songs dominate the 3th, 4th, 7th and 8th spots on the MP3.COM Experimantal chart, some with double bullets. The Bodyhorror ep is still kicking butt hanging at #12, #13 and #14 on the Industrial Electronic chart, all with double bullets. Finally, our top performer is Tryst, at NUMBER TWO with a bullet on the Darkwave chart! Definitely Brainclaw’s highest charter EVER on MP3.COM. Oh well, everything that has a beginning has an end…

What a way to go out… It seems that the SECT ep is making some serious waves during MP3.COM’s death throes… The four songs dominate the 5th, 9th, 10th and 12th spots on the MP3.COM Experimantal chart, some with double bullets. The Bodyhorror ep is also kicking butt hanging at #19, #21 and #22 on the Industrial Electronic chart, some with double bullets. Finally, our top performer is Tryst, at Number Four with a bullet on the Darkwave chart. That’s Brainclaw’s highest charter EVER on MP3.COM.

It’s official. MP3.COM has been eaten by CNET and as of December 2, 2003 will be no more. Thanks to MP3.COM for helping Brainclaw promote its music. Be sure to look here for news on the addition of music mp3s to the Brainclaw Website. Designs and songs are being considered at this time.

Our new friend dj coVen over at the Canadian-based Bloodlit Industrial Gothic Electro radio station has made Brainclaw their Featured Artist of the Week on their web site. Insekt/Angel is the intro song on this week’s show, anfter a really nice verbal introduction and many compliments. Head over and take a listen to this most excellent radio station! Unbelievable. Good things continue to happen this week, with Brainclaw’s own Insekt/Angel smashing into the Electrogarden Network Industrial Chart at NUMBER ONE. It is also shooting up their Main Page Top Forty Chart and is currently at Number 14. In addition, When The Dark Rains Come is hanging steady at Number 4. The brand-new, Brainclaw-remodeled version of Carfax Abbey’s new song Flush To The Floor is in the can, and work has started on the next one, a Clawed-Up version of Carfax’s newest tune, Second Skin.

Brainclaw starts fleshing out the 7th new song, tentatively entitled Voluptuosa, while also squeezing in sessions with Philadelphia’s Carfax Abbey to do some collaborative work for a Fall promo release. A tentative release date for the new Brainclaw CD has been set at October 31, 2003.
