There was an excellent review of the new Dead Monsters CD in the Polish electromusic webzine Electr-On. We had our crack team of translators working around the clock to give us the English version, and here it is:
“It is a perfect match with Brainclaw, duo or quartet (it officially varies from live show to studio with them), but generally, because it is electro/ebm, it is a project that is very often found on the famous series of compilation CDs “Interbreeding”. I don’t remember exactly what was their the debut record, but their second one, is really hot, called “Dead Monsters”.
Now that they are signed to BLC Productions, the group has put out improved sound, production and all. The mix has old school ebm with modern ( high - tech ) electro, and even with synth/future-pop memories ( Euphorium ) sounds good, plays very well in MP3 player. The biggest advantage the album is probably variety. In no place do you get bored listening. Every second of thick sound, the other electronic fraction and we have industrial-rock, which is feeling like sharp, riffy and guitar-like in a few places and also with sharp, rock-style vocals.
We have also future-pop flavors and soft, gentle pleasure for ears songs, also we have a little of electro-punk’s wildness (mostly for wild Tara’s vocal) and pretty much classic ebm-old-school melody line ( fantastic classic “Hipocritic”). (more…)
