Brainclaw has completed an interesting collaboration with Japanese Cyberpunk author Kenji Siratori.
Kenji writes a very interesting form of free-verse poetry that could be compared with the work of William S. Burroughs, but with high-tech and dystopian flavors.
He approached us with a free-form poem called Pig, and asked us to compose music for it, and to utilize a recording of him reading the poem in Japanese as the vocal track.
We complied, and came up with a crazy song called Regenerator P.I.G.
We composed a song and then sliced and diced Kenji’s vocals into audio sushi, with heavy processing and tight, small edits. We liked the result, and so did Kenji!
He will be releasing the song and a remix that we are doing on his Hypermodern label in spring of 2007.
