Brainclaw songs licensed for new sci-fi horror movie

Thursday, May 10th, 2007

Pantheon Black imageryIt looks like Brainclaw is getting ready to dip it’s claws back into the world of Hollywood film music…

Tara and David were approached recently by director Fabian Rush, who wanted to license at least two Brainclaw songs for his upcoming sci-fi horror film, Pantheon Black.

Info on the movie:

Title: Pantheon Black
Genre: Sci-fi thriller
Brief Plot: A group of explorers unwittingly release an ancient god whose only intent is to destroy the world.

Sounds like it is right up Brainclaw’s collective alley!

The songs “When The Dark Rains Come” (featured on the Matrix Revolutions and Matrix Box Set DVD releases) and “Fallen” have been selected to appear in the film, with “Fallen” most likely being used in it’s entirety during the closing credits sequence!

More information as it becomes available…

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Miss Kimberly rocks out at the Wolrd CafeWe are terribly pleased to report that the World Cafe show in Philadelphia was a resounding success!

Brainclaw raised a substantial amount of money to aid musicians made homeless in Hurricane Katrina, and had a fantastic time.

A special round of applause goes out to the many Brainclaw fans who showed up to support the night. You were wonderful! It was so good to get to talk to so many of you in person!

We send thanks also to the venue and the people in charge. The World Cafe is a top-class venue, and we had a wonderful time playing there! Our support crew was especially wonderful; we’re so lucky to have you all!

There is a brand-new photo gallery up on the website with photos from the show. Just scroll down to the bottom of the front page, and there it is!

Click on the View Large Gallery link to see the large format gallery. Special thanks to Rex and Lisa Alfes for the excellent photography!
