Gary and David spent Sunday creating a darker cover of a Pink Floyd song that was already pretty dark, “Comfortably Numb.”
You can check it out HERE.
Enjoy.
“Comfortably Numb” was featured on the platinum-selling Pink Floyd album, The Wall, released in 1979.
David will be performing this song and several others live with Gary at his next show, so stay tunes for show dates.
Be sure to check Gary’s MySpace page for all kinds of new songs and concert dates.

Brainclaw has just released its brand new re-imagining (cover, for the uninitiated) of Björk’s classic song, “Army of Me.”
You can download either a small file-size .mp3 version, or a full-resolution big file .aiff version or .wav version for the audiophiles out there.
(Please let there still be some audiophiles out there, who understand how bad mp3s sound compared to the original recordings!)
This release is available for free download on the Brainclaw MUSIC page.
Enjoy!

DJ Led Manville from Madrid, Spain has released a very cool megamix of the Covenant song “One World One Sky” mixed together with the Brainclaw instrumental “Icarus Wings“.
Led has been remixing for many years, and has a massive amount of material in his catalog, including remixes for just about every major electronic artist out there.
The two songs blend really well, and Manville creates a seamless mix that moves back and forth between the two songs. At certain points it almost seems like Eskil Simonsson is singing inside “Icarus Wings!” Very cool.
The megamix appears on his Versus Satanicus CD, available from his site for listening.
You can hear/download the full mix here.
Many thanks to DJ Led for this cool new use of an old Brainclaw favorite.

We discovered some really fun things on YouTube.com over the weekend. It seems Brainclaw is not immune from the growing craze of homemade AMV, or Anime Music Videos.
Several people have taken the Brainclaw cover of “Mad World” (originally written and performed by Tears For Fears) and created cool AMVs using anime snippets from Elfen Lied and Naruto, among others.
Being big anime fans ourselves, we were psyched to see that the Brainclaw Virus has begun to penetrate the anime culture as well. This is an extremely interesting creative amalgamation that is ripe with possibility and we wholly endorse it! There has been some controversy over copyright issues when AMVs of some ‘big music groups’ get distributed on the web, but we see it as a cool way to gain even more exposure for The ‘Claw.
Feel free to hop on over to YouTube.com and check out the newest Brainclaw AMVs. There has always been talk here in the BC Enclave of producing a Brainclaw video using animation, and these AMVs have rejuvinated our interest in making one happen. We’re currently talking with two different animators regarding creation of animated music videos for songs from the Dead Monsters CD, so stay tuned for more details…
Big thanks go out to the crazy, creative people involved in this new type of guerrilla animation creation.

The newly completed Brainclaw cover of the Depeche Mode song “Work Hard” was selected to appear on an upcoming Depeche Mode ‘B-Sides” Tribute CD being crafted by British electro label Cryonica Music.
Cryonica’s website reports “We are currently in the stages of putting together a very special tribute compilation to Depeche Mode, ‘Bright Lights, Dark Room.’ It is a double CD electro tribute compilation dedicated to, what some might say are the better songs of Depeche Mode, the B-sides and rarities. The tracklisting will be announced in June, but to name just a few artists included: Blue October, Swarf, Armageddon Dildos, Inertia, Killing Ophelia, Technoir, Thee Hyphen, The Nine, Razed in Black, Fiction 8 and many more! This great compilation will be released in July 2006.”
Brainclaw was notified today by their label, BLC Productions, that their cover had indeed made the final cut, out of over 70 submissions, and would be appearing on the first disc, Song Number 8. Very cool news indeed! Brainclaw wants to thank Reza and Alexys of Cryonica and Brandon of BLC for helping to make it happen.
