New Brainclaw song sneak-peek!

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

We here at the Brainclaw Enclave are pleased to present a sneak-peek at a song from the upcoming Brainclaw release.

Here, for your listening pleasure, is the new song, “Desperate Measures” which will be featured on the new Brainclaw CD.

Desperate Measures (192kbps mp3 file)

The album writing is coming along well, and this release is taking shape as a much harder-edged, angrier recording than either of the previous releases.

There are about 8 completed songs, with various other tunes in multiple stages of completion at this point. Videos for several of the new songs are under construction as well.

You can expect more Brainclaw live shows as the weather cools, so check out the Performance page for those dates in the Fall.

Keep tuned to this channel for updates on this release and other Brainclaw news.

Thanks again to all of you who have been keeping in touch with us during the writing phase and we look forward to seeing many of you soon!

Brand-new Brainclaw interview in Regen Music Magazine

Monday, February 5th, 2007

Regen Music Magazine Brainclaw interview graphicThere is a brand-new behemoth of an interview with David and Tara of Brainclaw posted on Regen Music Magazine’s website as of this morning.

Regen Staff Writer Ilker YΓΌcel conducted the interview by phone with Brainclaw last week, and it was a lengthy and interesting look into many aspects of the Brainclaw machine, and David and Tara’s lives.

Many diverse topics were covered, including inspirations for the two extant BC albums, what’s coming up next, politics, filesharing, media excesses, responsibilities of firearms ownership and dealing with personal demons.

In addition to this interesting peek into their personal lives, Regen also covered the newly-released Brainclaw re-imagining of Gordon Lightfoot’s classic Seventies ballad, “The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald.” You can read the Regen review of the song here.

Many thanks to Ilker and Regen for the excellent press and most interesting and fun interview!

Brainclaw Radio Show was a success

Thursday, June 15th, 2006

Brainclaw Radio ShowThe Brainclaw Radio Show was a total blast! We eventually found our way down to Sewell, New Jersey on Sunday night with little difficulty. The radio station was in an unassuming-looking business complex. We arrived to find Kim and Brad already in the studio, with our host Lance Feltman.

They got us all set up in front of microphones (which turned out to be non-functional for half of the show) and we started the show. Lance was an excellent host, and most of the two hours was made up of an excellent interview. We played some rare and unreleased Brainclaw songs, as well as some of the highlights from Insekt/Angel and the newly released Dead Monsters.

We took calls the whole time, and James Sewell, (no relation to Sewell, NJ) our live drummer, called in and answered some interview questions over the phone. We got the technical details ironed out about halfway through the show.

We’re going to bring the radio show recording into Studio Auroviral and clean it up in the mighty Mac G5. Our goal will be to present it on the Music page of this website as downloadable audio files as soon as possible. Special thanks to Kim, Brad, Lance, James and the folks at WLRO for making this fun media event a reality!
