Gary Billings and David Giuffre cover Pink Floyd song

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Gary and David spent Sunday creating a darker cover of a Pink Floyd song that was already pretty dark, “Comfortably Numb.”

You can check it out HERE.

Enjoy.

“Comfortably Numb” was featured on the platinum-selling Pink Floyd album, The Wall, released in 1979.

David will be performing this song and several others live with Gary at his next show, so stay tunes for show dates.

Be sure to check Gary’s MySpace page for all kinds of new songs and concert dates.

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Brainclaw/Bjork re-imagining artworkBrainclaw has just released its brand new re-imagining (cover, for the uninitiated) of Björk’s classic song, “Army of Me.”

You can download either a small file-size .mp3 version, or a full-resolution big file .aiff version or .wav version for the audiophiles out there.

(Please let there still be some audiophiles out there, who understand how bad mp3s sound compared to the original recordings!)

This release is available for free download on the Brainclaw MUSIC page.

Enjoy!

New Brainclaw song! Brainclaw and goth-cabaret sensation Nicki Jaine cover The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

Sunday, January 7th, 2007

Nicki Jaine and BrainclawHere is the first really new Brainclaw offering since the Dead Monsters CD was released. Goth cabaret diva Nicki Jaine has provided a stellar vocal performance in a electro industrial reimagining of Gordon Lightfoot’s classic Seventies ballad, “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.”

Also appearing on the song is the wildly-talented Kyle Cassidy, with a blistering guitar execution that blends perfectly with Brainclaw’s signature electronics.

Nicki Jaine doesn’t only sing on this new track, she also played a rare instrument, the 28 inch Charlie Blacklock Special custom-made musical saw, which is featured in the choruses of the song.

You can hear an .mp3 of this new song right HERE, and you can download the full-quality 44/16 .aiff version HERE. Feel free to download and share to your heart’s content!

Many thanks to Nicki and Kyle for this fantastic collaborative effort.
