I was lucky enough this weekend to meet and hang with another very influential band that I love - Information Society.
I was assisting Philadelphia photographer Kyle Cassidy with the Information Society photo shoot back stage at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, and was able to spend quite a bit of time with the boys of InSoc.
We were able to see their whole sound-check as well, which sounded fantastic. They have heavily-customized synthesizers and a mutant bass guitar that set me drooling… cool stuff!
They were all extremely cool people, clearly intelligent and creative types. They have an excellent new album out called Synthesizer, on Dancing Ferret Discs. We recommend you check it out.
Many thanks to Kyle for the opportunity!

Brainclaw played a fun show at the historic Sterling Hotel in Allentown, PA this past weekend.
The crowd was fantastic, and Brainclaw debuted some new songs from the upcoming new album.
Everyone was very nice, and good friend Wallace Shaffer was able to capture some excellent photos, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Brainclaw home page.
Don’t forget to click on the “view large gallery” link to see the large version of the photos.
The band is preparing for a show in Philadelphia in November. Be sure to watch this page for showtimes and locations.
Thanks to all Clawlings who traveled to see the Sterling show, and especially to all the new Clawlings we met for the first time! Thanks for letting us autograph you, Danielle!

We are terribly pleased to report that the World Cafe show in Philadelphia was a resounding success!
Brainclaw raised a substantial amount of money to aid musicians made homeless in Hurricane Katrina, and had a fantastic time.
A special round of applause goes out to the many Brainclaw fans who showed up to support the night. You were wonderful! It was so good to get to talk to so many of you in person!
We send thanks also to the venue and the people in charge. The World Cafe is a top-class venue, and we had a wonderful time playing there! Our support crew was especially wonderful; we’re so lucky to have you all!
There is a brand-new photo gallery up on the website with photos from the show. Just scroll down to the bottom of the front page, and there it is!
Click on the View Large Gallery link to see the large format gallery. Special thanks to Rex and Lisa Alfes for the excellent photography!
