Simpsonized Brainclaw and album news

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

Brainclaw Simpsonized! This pic was too much fun not to share with you all…

As we are heavily immersed in writing the new album, there hasn’t been much news to report. Our first new single is being polished to a deep shine, and will be completed in days.

There may be a sneak preview posted on the web very soon!

Several other songs are in various stages of completeness, and the overall album style and sound are beginning to take shape. It is definitely shaping up to be a grittier, more aggressive sound than either of the first two Brainclaw CDs.

We will also have some top-notch remixes on the CD, including one by Cesium 137. Some more surprise remixers may also contribute their talent…

Dead Monsters destroyed and rebuilt by DEDMAN

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

Brainclaw Vs. Dedman graphicBrainclaw received one of the absolute best remixes ever this weekend.

Elusive and mysterious electromusic artist Dedman released his Reorchestration of “Dead Monsters” which completely blew away everyone in the Brainclaw Enclave on Saturday.

“Dead Monsters” is, of course, the title track from Brainclaw’s latest release, available worldwide, from BLC Productions.

This creepy re-imagining has some of the highest production values of any remix we’ve ever heard, and definitively sets the bar extremely high for further remix endeavors.

Dedman’s remix retains the basic structure and length of the original, but peels back the song’s skin and muscles, replacing them with super high quality electronics and ear-melting effects processing.

It is truly a Herculean effort!

You can hear this stunning remix as an .mp3 file HERE.

You can download a full resolution .wav file HERE.

Many thanks to Dedman for this awesome re-interpretation of our work!

Madrid DJ Led Manville creates Covenant Vs. Brainclaw megamix

Monday, February 26th, 2007

led Manville graphicDJ Led Manville from Madrid, Spain has released a very cool megamix of the Covenant song “One World One Sky” mixed together with the Brainclaw instrumental “Icarus Wings“.

Led has been remixing for many years, and has a massive amount of material in his catalog, including remixes for just about every major electronic artist out there.

The two songs blend really well, and Manville creates a seamless mix that moves back and forth between the two songs. At certain points it almost seems like Eskil Simonsson is singing inside “Icarus Wings!” Very cool.

The megamix appears on his Versus Satanicus CD, available from his site for listening.

You can hear/download the full mix here.

Many thanks to DJ Led for this cool new use of an old Brainclaw favorite.

New Brainclaw remix by Ilker of Galvanax

Monday, February 12th, 2007

Ilker of GalvanaxThis week the Brainclaw Enclave received a very cool new remix of “Dead Monsters” from Ilker Yücel of Galvanax.

It is an extremely cool new look at the song, and takes it in some interesting new directions.

There is some excellent vocoder work, as well as some wicked noise elements and diverse sound design elements. The song also includes some deft vocal manipulation, especially of Tara’s contribution to the song.

Kudos to Ilker for this most exciting look at an old favorite! Ilker is also a staff writer for world-renowned Regen Music Magazine, and has regularly covered Brainclaw activities in his own unique style.

His music project, Galvanax, is a quickly-rising star in the electronic music world, and you would be remiss in not checking out his original music. His work has been described thus:

“Galvanax originally started as a collaboration between Scott of 8 Gauge Syringe and Ilker Yucel, formerly of Sigiltech. Upon Sigiltech’s dissolution and 8 Gauge’s good fortunes, Ilker took the project upon himself as a solo outfit to include various collaborators in different styles of industrial and electronica.”

You can download the Galvanax Remix of Dead monsters as an .mp3 file HERE. You can download it as a high-resolution .wav file HERE.

New Brainclaw remix by John Ruszin of Collinwood 13 just released

Monday, October 16th, 2006

John Ruszin of Collinwood 13We’ve just received a fantastic new remix of the title track from the Dead Monsters CD from none other than John Ruszin of Collinwood 13.

It’s a very heavy remix that takes the song into completely new territory. Big drums, big guitars and sliced up vocal work round out the new version, which we’re referring to as ‘the Godzilla of Brainclaw remixes!’

John Ruszin’s Collinwood 13 project is a rapidly rising star in the electro-goth genre, with stunningly heavy and spooky songs, framed by John’s distinctive and cyclopean voice and bleeding-edge programming skills. Fans of goth and industrial would do well to check out John’s work. He’s a sure bet for a label-signing very soon!

You can listen to and download this awesome new remix right here, or on the Brainclaw MUSIC page. Enjoy!

Many thanks to John for his stunning remix and stellar work! You will be hearing some more of John’s work appearing on the next Brainclaw CD, which is currently under construction in the subteranean labs of Studio Auroviral at this very minute!

Stay tuned…

Brainclaw remixes Neikka RPM

Tuesday, August 8th, 2006

Neikka RPM and Brainclaw!Brainclaw has just completed a cool new remix of Alfa Matrix recording artist Neikka RPM’s song “I Ride The Flames.”

Neikka RPM makes a wonderful variety of heavy beat industrial music with freaky, distorted female vocals. Dominique approached Brainclaw’s label BLC Productions about doing a remix for Neikka RPM a few weeks ago. Naturally, we were thrilled at the chance to put that special Brainclaw rinse on an already excellent song.

The song heads off in a few days to the mastering engineer along with several other remixes that will be appearing on a future Neikka RPM release.

We will post more info on this release as it becomes available.

From the Neikka RPM website:

“The music of Neikka RPM is a dark-pulse of fury resonating from within the underground catacombs of New York. Their sound, a unique mixture of ultra-aggressive soundscapes and Dominique’s bewitching vocals, has been described by one reviewer as “a beautiful wave of destruction that stays with you long after the CD ends.” Neikka RPM is the creator of a pounding club-floor sonic assault that sounds much like a fusion between the raw-energy of Front 242 (Re:Boot), the sexy shimmer of Starseeds and the hard-electronica attitude of Prodigy (Fat of the Land)…one can only succumb to the frenzy beneath the crush of each club-destroying track.”
