I made a great connect with James Yeager, head of Tactical Response, when I took the “Active Shooter” course in Tennessee a few weeks ago. It seems he has become a Brainclaw music fan! We discovered the song “Strike” from the album Dead Monsters on his latest video from the “Fighting Rifle” class. We’ve supplied him with the rest of our back catalog for future use in his videos for the shooting school.

Tara and I will be returning to Tactical Response to take another class, “Fighting Pistol” very soon. It’s the best training available on the planet. If you carry a firearm for self-defense, you owe it to yourself to get trained. Check out Tactical Response’s class offerings HERE.

• We especially like how the machine gun fire in our music overlaps with the real thing at 02:47-02:55!

We accidentally (as often happens with new web content) stumbled on this cool new video/music mash-up Friday afternoon.

Somebody had taken a snippet of a brand new, unreleased Brainclaw song, “Desperate Measures” from the forthcoming Brainclaw album, and mated it with a particularly chilling piece of film on the bombing of Hiroshima. How they came by the unreleased track was a mystery for awhile…

It was after some digging that we discovered it was our own label, BLC, who perpetrated this madness! The images definitely fit with the song, and we look forward to making actual music videos for the new CD.

Many thanks to Brandon at BLC for his intense and unflagging support of our musical endeavors, as well as his amazingly creative viral marketing mind!

This video is the live version of the song “Voluptuosa” from the BLC Productions album Dead Monsters from 2006.It was recorded at club Red Square in Albany, NY - Saturday, September 2, 2006.

We played around with montages and other effects in Final Cut Pro, in anticipation of releasing this as a live DVD, which alas, due to serious time constraints and work on the new Brainclaw album, never came to fruition.

There is always the possibility that this live video could be released in the future…

It was a great show, and we shared the stage with another great industrial band, Doomsday Virus.

Highlights include Tara’s wardrobe malfunction towards the end of the video!
